South Boulder

From South Mesa TH, Mesa, Homestead, Towhee, Shadow, South Boulder; down via Towhee, but then went cross-country to the Mesa Trail before the descent to the creek crossing, as I didn't want to deal with the mud on lower Towhee.

With Jeff V, Dave H, and Joey L. Started at 11:11 am. I led us out very easy. I had gone home from work early yesterday, feeling achy and chilled, and had "slept" for 17 hours. Felt mostly better this morning but was content to take it easy. The others continued to Bear while I headed down. Couldn't really run down as my gut was in knots. It continued to be painful all afternoon and evening.

10th day in a row. Started at 6:23 am. Few inches of fresh snow on the trail, but another guy had gone up before me to track it out. Worked pretty hard on the up. Not very fast, though.

Still feeling the achilles a bit. Probably need some rest.

Started at 6:23 am. Planned to just hike it easy today and did just that. Did up the effort just a tad near the top until I was sure I'd be under an hour. Saw Tony K coming down just below Greenman spring. Then ran into Kraig K on the summit. We jogged down together again.

Felt both achilles a few times but, again, not really painful.

Started at 6:18 am. Recent snow is setting up quite nicely, but wind drifted in a few sections. Fortunately, Roger Linfield tracked through those ahead of me this morning. Worked pretty hard on the up, although I started out feeling pretty tired. On the down, didn't have much pep, so took it easy and tried to clear out a few drifted areas.

Feeling my right achilles a bit. Not painful, just feeling it.
