Bear Peak (PR)

Group time trial. Cragmoor TH, North Shanahan, Fern, Bear; down the same.

Pretty sure this was a PR from Cragmoor, as I've not usually run Bear from that TH in the past.

Chilled on top of Bear for a while. Stopped just above the trailhead on the way down, where we met Lori, Mia and Anya, and Lori headed out for a run.

Started at 6:06 pm. After taking a moment to catch my breath at the summit, I turned and ran down hard in order to pick up Mia and Anya from church ASAP.

Longs - Cables

ran Longs before work with Bill - started at 4:40 am

took initial shortcut trail to the main trail (11:35), then stayed on the main trail until turning off on the shortcut to Jim's Grove, at the junction of the Jim's Grove trail and the main trail below Granite Pass (1:01:11), crossed over and shortcut into the Boulderfield, at the base of the Cables pitch (1:41:48), at the top of the Cables pitch (1:45:36), at the summit (1:59:02) a couple minutes behind Bill, signed the register then started down (2:01:22), back at the top of the Cables pitch (2:08:53), at the bottom of the Cables pitch (2:15:07), back across the Boulderfield and shortcut to Jim's Grove, on the shortcut below Jim's Grove ended up staying far left on a trail I hadn't been on before which was quite efficient and came out BELOW the two-log bridge, then down the initial shortcut trail to the trailhead (3:09:11)

a roundtrip and descent PR for me - Bill was a short bit back as he cut off too early on the initial shortcut trail on the descent
