Belknap Crater, Little Belknap

From Hwy 242 at McKenzie Pass, north on the PCT, left the PCT heading west to reach the north ridge of Belknap at around 6500'-6600', up the north ridge to the summit, down the trail on the south ridge, then down one of the trails on the east/southeast slopes, back to the PCT, up to Little Belknap, back to the car.

Started at 10:34 am. Very cool hike through the lava rock. Rough on the shoes, though! Neat lava tubes on Little Belknap. Superb views of Mt. Washington. Hope to get back for that someday. Jogged a bit on the way up and a bit on the way down, but wasn't feeling great with my cold. Also, my lower back was still quite painful whenever I jogged.
