From South Mesa TH, Mesa, Towhee, Shadow, South Boulder; down the same.
Started at 12:38 pm. Ran all but the steep hill on the road on the approach to Shadow Canyon. That had me pretty worked. Decided to back off on the effort entering the canyon, but I couldn't have done much more even if I'd wanted to. Have definitely lost some fitness and gained some weight.
Ran into Steph E, Kari F, Fred E, and Terri P on the summit, who'd come up from the west after trail work in the morning at Walker. Chatted with them, then jogged down to the saddle with them. Coming down Shadow, I stopped frequently to clear lots of loose rocks from the trail.
