Pyramid, North Maroon, Maroon

From Maroon Lake trailhead. Started at 4:48 am.

Up to Pyramid Amphitheater, then up to NW ridge to Pyramid. Down the NW ridge and west face. Descended quite a ways down the loose gully on the west face before leaving it for the "grassy" slopes to the right (north). The gully was pretty miserable.

After getting water at the creek, headed straight up toward the Bell Cord, but cut right on a broad ledge. Worked my way up and right (north) on this ledge system. Eventually came to a cliff band blocking me from continuing further north, which I'd hoped to do to meet the normal approach on North Maroon. Did some tricky, exposed climbing up this cliff, but couldn't commit to the final (?) moves. Backtracked, then worked my way back up and left (south). Did some steep scrambling amidst the trees, then worked left, and ended up dropping into the first gully just a bit below the standard route.

On up North, traversed to South, traversed back to North, then descended standard route back to Maroon Lake. Not a lot of energy on the Bells - bonked and didn't recover.
