hiked/ran Longs Peak solo - started at 7:41 am
11:05 - where initial shortcut trail meets the main trail, didn't use any shortcuts in the trees until turning onto the shortcut trail to Jim's Grove, I used the left-most of the various trails up to the Jim's Grove junction, which would be the most efficient line (no descending to reach the upper Jim's Grove trail) except that the trail is overgrown near the top, still maybe the best option?
1:00:25 - where Jim's Grove trail meets the main trail just below Granite Pass
1:41:32 - base of the Cables pitch
1:45:49 - top of the Cables pitch, went slightly left on the ledge above the Cables, then went straight up the more scrambly stuff rather than traversing further left, ran into quite a bit of 3rd/4th class, ended up hitting the summit plateau 100+ yards (?) or so from the summit boulder (at 1:59:0?-ish), so had quite a ways to go to top out in sub-2, but I just made it
1:59:49 - summit boulder
2:09:02 - starting down the Homestretch then onto the Clark's Arrow/Loft route
4:10:01 - trailhead
carried 50 oz Camelback with water, 3 Gus (used all), shirt, hat, gloves, space blanket - wore hat, no sunglasses - on the way up to the base of the Cables, stayed lower in the Boulderfield (flatter, ie, not off-camber, tundra rather than up/down boulders), then aimed for the most efficient-looking line to reach the ridge beyond the Camel - this worked nicely - Cables still wet - took my time on the descent - stopped to pray for a bit at Clark's Arrow - descending Clark's Arrow/Loft isn't much fun - too much loose rock - Keyhole is better

Longs - Cables/Keyhole
hiked/ran Longs Peak solo
11:13 - where initial shortcut trail meets the main trail, took all shortcuts in the trees on up to Jim's Grove
1:00:56 - where Jim's Grove trail meets the main trail just below Granite Pass
1:48:35 - base of the Cables pitch
1:54:23 - top of the Cables pitch
2:09:21 - summit boulder
2:20:30 - starting down the Keyhole route
2:53:35 - Keyhole
3:26:12 - crossing the main trail below Granite Pass
4:11:58 - trailhead
carried 50 oz Camelback with Heed, 2 Gus (didn't use), Clif Shot Blocks (ate 5), shirt, hat, gloves, space blanket - wore sunglasses, no hat (too much sweat on glasses) - legs felt tired right from the start, hopefully from the run the night before and not horrible fitness (but I'm sure that's part of it) - decided to try to cut straight through the woods above Jim's Grove to reach the trail beyond, but this was bushwhacky and you end up having to descend - not a good choice, probably lost a bit of time doing this - really started fading after crossing over the main trail on the way up the flanks of MLW - picked poor lines on the way up to the base of the Cables - took the Cables carefully - a bit wet, but not bad - crawled from the top of the Cables to the summit, tuckered out - descent of the Keyhole went fine - cut over flanks of MLW on descent to Jim's Grove trail - scouted various trail options below Jim's Grove - somehow missed the final shortcut trail and stayed on the main trail to the finish - really disappointed by my slow ascent time

Longs - Keyhole
hiked/ran Longs Peak solo
12:08 - where initial shortcut trail meets the main trail
29:28 - leaving the main trail on the shortcut up to Jim's Grove
1:06:46 - where Jim's Grove trail meets the main trail just below Granite Pass
1:47:22 - Keyhole
2:19:12 - top of the Trough (start of the Narrows)
2:30:52 - summit boulder
2:45:01 - starting down
2:56:13 - top of the Trough
3:24:18 - Keyhole
3:53:18 - main trail just below Granite Pass
4:41:28 - trailhead
started at 2:52 pm - carried small HAWG with 50 oz water, 3 Gus, nuts, Hind pants, shirt, GoLite wind jacket, hat, gloves, space blanket, cell phone, YakTrax - didn't run much of the ascent, taking it relatively easy as a bit tired from the day before - used first shortcut ("telephone pole" trail), then stayed on trail until turning off onto the shortcut trail up to Jim's Grove, then shortcut Granite Pass by cutting across the main trail, although I did do the last 2 or 3 switchbacks of the main trail leading into the Boulderfield - screwed up a bit on Jim's Grove trail, at the switchback, where I went too high (oops) - a couple of snowfields to cross on the Ledges, but snow was soft and good steps in and runouts not bad (into talus rather than slabs), so just crossed in running shoes - snow in the upper part of the Trough - could avoid most of it, but I did go up down maybe 50 feet (?) of snow - Narrows snow-free - bit of snow on the Homestretch, but avoidable, a bit wet, polished as always - descended to the Boulderfield relatively slowly as my legs were noodly - jogged through the Boulderfield, doing the first switchback or so before bee-lining it over to Jim's Grove trail below Granite Pass - noticed a hiker limping above Granite Pass (who I had seen limping below the Keyhole on my ascent), so I headed up the trail to see if I could help out in any way (sprained ankle, walking slowly, had contacted family already, so I chatted briefly, then continued down) - down Jim's Grove trail and shortcut trail - main trail in the woods until "telephone pole" trail
